Our school tuition does not cover the full cost of a Sea Crest education, but keeping tuition as low as possible enables more students to attend our school. Fundraising helps us fulfill our mission by bridging the gap and balancing our budget. Your tax-deductible gifts are put towards strong academic and co-curricular programs, competitive compensation for teachers, professional development, technology upgrades, and facilities improvements.

We understand that every family is different. We hope each family can contribute at a level that is comfortable for them. The important thing is that every family gives what they can to show support for the school.

As an independent day school, Sea Crest depends upon current families to provide the lion’s share of gift revenue to the school, providing for the students of today and maintaining the legacy of financial health and excellence built upon the generosity of past families.

We have a strong tradition of support. Last year, 97% of our families participated, 100% of our board of trustees, and 100% of our faculty and staff participated as well!

Sea Crest does seek corporate and foundation sponsorship for specific projects, but most foundations and corporations do not fund general operating expenses (except through matching or donor advised gifts) for independent schools. Nonetheless, foundations and corporations look for strong internal support and institutional strength before committing their limited charitable resources. Having 100% participation in our annual fund helps provide the proof of internal support and stability that external funders require.

Yes, most people take pride in being active stakeholders, helping shape the school and advance its mission. Many employers offer programs that will match or multiply an employee’s gift to Sea Crest. This is an easy way to dramatically increase the impact of your contribution. Gifts can be delivered to the Advancement Office, Sea Crest School, 901 Arnold Way, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. We will send you an acknowledgement letter once the payment has been received.

Sea Crest accepts gifts of STOCKS, BONDS, OR MUTUAL FUNDS, which can also be to your financial advantage.
