Tuition

Sea Crest School is a non-profit, independent school. Tuition costs are determined by our Board of Trustees, who take into account the rising cost of educating a child, economic diversity of student population, and the operational costs—such as competitive faculty compensation—of running a school. Tuition for the 2019-2020 school year is:

  • $21,505 (K-8)
  • $16,000 (JK - school day)
  • $9,600 (JK - morning only)

FLEXIBLE TUITION

The Flexible Tuition Program makes a Sea Crest Education accessible to families from a wide range of economic backgrounds, allowing qualifying families to pay according to their resources. We believe that the cost of a Sea Crest education should not be a deterrent to any family and that having students from all walks of life enriches our community and the educational experience.

Sea Crest School works closely with Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) in determining awards. FAST represents schools across the country to help assess a family’s ability to pay school costs and promotes objectivity and consistency in financial aid determinations. All award decisions are based entirely on demonstrated need through this process.

Sea Crest provides flexible tuition as a grant, which is not expected to be repaid to the school. Grants vary in size depending on need.

Flexible tuition applications are filed separately from admissions applications. The Admissions Committee does not know which students are applying for flexible tuition. Grants are allocated in a highly confidential process by the Flexible Tuition Committee, which is comprised of school administrators.

HOW TO APPLY FOR FLEXIBLE TUITION

TUITION PAYMENT OPTIONS

We use FACTS as our tuition management system. Returning families are automatically re-enrolled in FACTS. New families set up a payment plan with FACTS online.

We offer three payment schedule options:

  • Annual payment paid in one installment, due June 1
  • Bi-annual payments to be paid in two installments, due June 1 and December 1
  • Ten (10) Monthly payments, due the first of each month from June through March

There is a service fee for families choosing either the bi-annual or monthly payment plans; both include enrollment in the Dewars Tuition Refund Insurance. More information about payment plans and tuition refund insurance will be included with your enrollment contract.
