sherri trigueiro
Sherri Trigueiro has been an assistant teacher for both 1st & 2nd grade at Sea Crest School since 2005. The primary focus of her teaching for both grade levels has been reading & writing. Her genuine enthusiasm for every small success is a confidence builder for emerging, struggling or reluctant readers. Her belief is that every child has an opportunity to find joy in reading in a relaxed and social atmosphere. When kids are free to choose their own material, while having fun, they may not even notice they're practicing word study, decoding skills, comprehension, flow or expression.
Sherri developed her love of recreational sports at an early age. Aside from the fact that games such as ping pong, air hockey, and darts (to name a few) are excellent in developing hand/eye coordination...they're also great "social bridges" to help with new friendships at any age, but especially in the tween, high school & college years. The sooner you learn the better!

Originally from LA, Courtney Blaskower moved to San Francisco after completing her undergraduate degree in Fine Art. She started working for the Triton Museum in Santa Clara teaching within their ArtReach program. Courtney has since worked in many schools and organizations teaching hundreds of children throughout the Bay Area. In October, Courtney opened Meddle Studio, a creative workspace offering classes, workshops, and gallery space for adults and kids. Courtney lives in Half Moon Bay with her husband and two kids.
Courtney Blaskower’s Teaching Approach—“Art is a mirror, reflecting ourselves and the world we live in. As a teacher, I'm not as interested in what my students create but how they decide to approach a project, what level of enthusiasm they have, where they might get stuck, and what they are figuring out as a result of the process. My goal as a teacher is to help build their confidence by offering the appropriate tools, support, and inspiration needed to complete a project. Although I’m not as interested in the product, I'm certain my students will love and be proud of what they create during our time together.”
